Massachusetts Board of Registration of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors Seeks Electrical Engineer
The Massachusetts Board of Registration of Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors is looking for potential candidates for the Professional Engineer-Electrical position on the Board. This appointment would be made by the Governor for a term that would start in January 2019. Because of the current composition of the Board of Registration, female candidates are encouraged to apply.
You must be currently licensed as a Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as an Electrical Engineer and reside in Massachusetts.
According to Mass. General Law Chapter 13, Section 45, the person appointed to this position "shall have been actively engaged in the practice of engineering for at least twelve years, and shall have been in responsible charge of important engineering work or in engineering teaching, or both, for at least five years."
Time commitment:
- Attendance at monthly Board of Registration meetings, usually on the fourth Thursday morning of the month
- Attendance at some separate committee meetings and hearings.
- The term is a five year appointment..
