The Engineering Center Education Trust is an educational and charitable non-profit trust and owner of One Walnut Street in Boston. Since October 1989, TECET (formerly TEC) has fostered education of engineers, surveyors, and allied professionals with emphasis on life-long learning. TECET provides a home for professional and technical meetings, public outreach, and society management. TECET relies on contributions from people like you, who want to inspire future generations to pursue engineering and related careers.
More than ever before, our mission to advance the engineering and surveying profession is crucial. You can help by making a donation to The Engineering Center Education Trust. The Engineering Center Education Trust can strengthen our collective knowledge to build upon our presence and our impact inside and outside the engineering community. As we move forward, we continue to advance our mission of professional development, student education, public outreach, and excellence in the profession.
There are multiple ways to donate to TECET and show your support for the future of engineering.
All efforts towards our mission are supported by the commitment of people like you to preserve our presence and our place. And so, we ask for your support. Every dollar contributed is a dollar towards education, outreach, and public presence. With your help, we can strengthen our profession and our service to the community.
This year you may donate to the General Annual Fund or donate specifically to our Building for the Future Capital campaign.
You can easily donate today by downloading our donation form and return it with your gift or donate online:
TECET’s home at One Walnut Street on Beacon Hill in Boston needs many important capital improvements including a new slate roof, window repairs, technology investments, and interior renovations. Our building has served our sponsors (ACEC/MA, BSCES, and MALSCE) well for over 30 years but like any building its age (it was built in 1804 for John Phillips, first Mayor of Boston), it requires continuous re-investment and maintenance. Critically important and programmed repairs and upgrades total $450,000. To fund these capital repairs, TECET has taken on a new bank loan while at the same time we are initiating a capital campaign to help reduce the balance. We set a goal of raising $100,000 to help reduce the loan principal. In less than one year we successfully raised over $104,000. The additional funds raised will go to future building improvements.

This annual event hosted by The Engineering Center Education Trust honors talented members of the engineering community who have earned recognition as regional or national leaders for their dedication to the profession. You can show your support for this special evening by becoming a sponsor or just by attending. Not only is this a truly fun night with friends, peers, and networking opportunities, but it also contributes to the continued educational and professional opportunities that TECET organizes throughout the year. To learn more about this year's event, go to:
The Engineering Center Education Trust's Annual Leadership Dinner
The Engineering Center Education Trust also holds a golf tournament every summer. Along with becoming a golfer and hitting the greens for a sun-filled day, you can support TECET by sponsoring the event at various levels--Tournament, Golf Cart, Beverage Stand, Hole--and with sponsored challenges including Hole-in-One, Closest to the Pin, and Longest Drive. You can also donate raffle items, or better yet, bid on incredible items donated by others in the engineering (and golfing!) community. With so many opportunities, getting involved to help us build a strong program for educational and professional advancement has never been so easy or so fun! To learn more about this year's tournament, go to:

Throughout the year, TECET also hosts other special events that contribute to the strengthening of the engineering and land surveying professions. From professional development courses to book signings to educational opportunities, there are plenty of ways to show support by attending or sponsoring these individual programs.
