The Rossiter Family Scholarship, made available through the generosity of Allen and Selina Rossiter, is held on behalf of William J. Rizzo, Jr., a longtime friend of the Rossiters and a past chair of TECET. Bill served on the TECET Board of Trustees from 1997 to 2009 and on the TEC Board of Trustees from 1997 to 2008, serving as the chair for many of those years. The scholarship was created in 2019 and was first awarded in 2020.
The Rossiter Family Scholarship is offered for the benefit of women and minority students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in civil or environmental engineering.
Four finalists will be selected from the eligible applicants and invited to interview with the scholarship committee in person in Boston, MA on January 14, 2025. One finalist will be selected to receive a scholarship of $12,000 and the three other finalists will each receive a scholarship of $1,000. The winner and finalists will be presented their scholarships at the TECET Leadership Dinner which will be held in person on February 4, 2025 at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel in Boston, MA.

Eligibility
To be eligible for The Rossiter Family Scholarship you must be a woman or racial or ethnic minority (e.g., African American or Black, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian, Hispanic/Latino, Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander) student currently enrolled in an ABET accredited undergraduate or graduate program in civil or environmental engineering. Applicants must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate sophomore or higher. Applicants must be residents of Massachusetts and attend a college or university in Massachusetts.
