Secretary Katie Theoharides of the MA Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs and Mike McGrath, the retired Deputy Administrator/Chief of Construction Engineering at MassDOT, were both honored at the Annual TECET Leadership Celebration held on November 18, 2021 at the Fairmont Copley Plaza.

Congratulations to Joseph Diaz, a senior at Merrimack College, for being chosen as the recipient of the 2022 Rossiter Family Scholarship on Behalf of William J. Rizzo Jr. Joseph was awarded this scholarship at the Annual TECET Leadership Celebration on November 18, 2021.

The Rossiter Family Scholarship is offered for the benefit of women and minority students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in civil or environmental engineering. This scholarship has a total value of $10,000 which will be awarded to one eligible student this year.

The Massachusetts Designer Selection Board (DSB) is seeking resumes from Professional Engineers licensed in and residing in Massachusetts for 1 opening on the DSB. The Massachusetts School Building Authority is seeking resumes from Professional Engineers licensed in and residing in Massachusetts for 2 openings on their Designer Selection Panel (DSP).

DHCD is looking for two engineers to fill two-year terms for the DHCD Designer Selection Committee (DSC) beginning immediately through the end of June 30, 2021.

In response to questions received from the engineering and land surveying business community, the Board of Registration of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors (“the Board”) issued this advisory opinion in June 2020 on the use of engineering or land surveying job titles by unlicensed individuals working within the engineering and land surveying business community.
