The Rossiter Family Scholarship, made available through the generosity of Allen and Selina Rossiter, supports our mission by providing assistance to Massachusetts students to pursue higher education in the engineering field. The Rossiter Family Scholarship is offered for the benefit of women and minority students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in civil or environmental engineering. This scholarship has a total value of $10,000 which will be awarded to one eligible student this year.
Applications may be submitted online or by mail. Please click the links above to access the online or paper version of the application. Online applications must be submitted no later than December 2, 2019 at 11:59pm. Mailed submissions must be postmarked no later than December 2, 2019.
Eligibility
To be eligible for The Rossiter Family Scholarship you must be a women or racial or ethnic minority
(e.g.: African-American or Black, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian, Hispanic/Latino, Native
Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander) student currently enrolled in an ABET accredited undergraduate or
graduate program in civil or environmental engineering. Applicants must be residents of
Massachusetts and attend a college or university in Massachusetts.
How to Apply
Assemble the application in the following order. Do not staple or use a report binder.
1. Completed Scholarship Application Form (the application is a fillable form)
2. Two Recommendations - one from a professor and one from anyone you choose, such as another professor, or an advisor or employer
3. Essay (maximum 2 pages, see page 2 of the Application Form for details)
4. One copy of Official University Transcript
5. One copy of your most recent FAFSA form and current financial aid package
