ABOUT MA AEER
The Massachusetts Architects and Engineers Emergency Response Task Force “MA AEER” is a volunteer, professional organization supported by The Engineering Center Education Trust and is comprised of members from the following organizations:
MA AEER will be a second responder disaster organization resource, available to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency “MEMA” for rapid mobilization when activated and readied for deployment during times of natural disaster and catastrophes pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 112, Section 60Q. MA AEER volunteers, when officially deployed through MEMA, become disaster response workers, for the purpose of providing technical expertise relative to public health, safety and welfare as it pertains to disaster response. Additionally, MA AEER members may be available to assist MEMA and/or other State or MA Town/City agencies on technical matters regarding preparedness, on an “as needed” basis.
