Public Private Partnerships - The Port Miami Access Tunnel and P3 Developments 4/10/2017 5:00 PM

The presentation will include a review of the Port Miami Tunnel project, a highly complex project which was built through a public-private partnership (P3) that includes the design, build, finance, operation and maintenance. Other topics will include P3 projects and corporate social responsibility (CSR). The program will conclude with a brief look at P3 projects in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, legislative champions and lessons learned. Learn more

The award winning Port of Miami Tunnel boasts a number of firsts, the first Public-Private Partnership developed in the State of Florida, the largest soft ground bored roadway tunnel completed in North America, the first use of ground freezing as temporary support in Florida and one of the most extensive ground treatment programs done in Florida. This presentation will discuss the procurement method, technical challenges and management approach on this highly successful project. Learn more
