Wastewater treatment plants are among the most basic and critical infrastructure systems. In addition to protecting public health and the environment, many of these facilities are in locations that are highly visible and vulnerable to flood events.
Forward-thinking investments are adapting plants for future resiliency and leveraging the opportunity to design excellence. Featured speakers will present the approaches undertaken at the Newtown Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant in New York and facilities within the MWRA's system.
