Time: Overall event is 8:00am – 4:00pm; lunch is provided.
Overview: This event aims to broaden students’ awareness of career paths in STEM by providing handsāon, STEM Career Sessions. Groups of about 30 high school girls will be rotated between career sessions to learn about different STEM careers.
Location: Regis College, Weston, MA
Looking for: BSCES will be hosting the career session on Civil Engineering. We need volunteers who are interested in assisting with the hands on activities for the girls. The session will consist of a presentation on civil engineering by Michelle Cheung and followed by simple and fun activities that introduce the fields of transportation and structural engineering. Volunteers will be assisting with the activities and sharing their experiences as civil engineers. Please contact Michelle Cheung if you are interested!
