Forbes defines a digital twin as “a virtual model of a process, product, or service. This pairing of the virtual and physical worlds allows analysis of data and monitoring of systems to head off problems before they even occur, prevent downtime, develop new opportunities, and even plan for the future by using simulations.” The concept of the digital twin was introduced to the world in 2002 and has been widely used in the automotive, manufacturing, and aerospace industries.
The engineering and construction industry is slowly catching on to the digital twin movement. Minnesota Department of Transportation, for example, has begun to rely on digital twin technology to assist with their bridge inspection processes.
During this hour-long webinar, representatives from Bentley will address the following questions:
