Please join the Boston Society of Civil Engineers Section Engineering Management Group (BSCES EMG) for a lunchtime webinar focusing on principles and best practices for the ascending project manager. Our discussion will cover a variety of aspects of project management, including:

• Why become a project manager, and where to start?
• Background and principles of financial management.
• Tips on effective client communication and negotiation techniques.
• Pitfalls and common mistakes.
• Scope creep, budget shortfalls, and other applicable project management topics.

The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session. Please bring your questions and comments for Mike. 

Speaker: Michael Cunningham, PE, Senior Project Manager, Kleinfelder
Michael Cunningham has 23 years of civil engineering consulting experience with a focus in water resources and utility engineering.  He has provided program and project management of multi-disciplinary design and construction projects for over 15 years and served as the Team Leader of Kleinfelder’s Massachusetts Water Resources Team for five years. He currently serves as Kleinfelder’s East Division Project Management Leader providing training, guidance, and process improvements for the project managers within his organization.
