Topic: Regulatory and Field Applications for GIS Data
Synopsis: This ACEC/MA Member Briefing on Teams will review the myriad of geospatial information available through MassGIS and other sources, along with strategies to achieve successful project outcomes using this information. We will examine case studies relevant to planning efforts, including due diligence exercises and the regulatory limitations of geospatial data. The webinar will also provide instructions to get the most out of using LiDAR to inform delineations and identify areas of focus for field work.
Featuring:
Andrew Gorman is an Environmental Planning Specialist at B+T where he performs resource area delineations, vernal pool investigations, vegetative inventories, and construction monitoring, and undertakes environmental land use permitting. Andrew has also previously served on the Uxbridge Conservation Commission.
Mary Kate Schneeweis is a Senior Environmental Planning Specialist at B+T where she has developed a thorough understanding of a wide variety of regulatory programs. She applies this understanding to projects ranging from ecological improvement efforts to the construction of large-scale energy facilities.
