HR Issues for Firms on recent Supreme Court decision Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization (in which the court held that the Constitution of the United States does not confer a right to abortion, and overruled both Roe v. Wade (1973) and Planned Parenthood v. Casey (1992).
Firms are struggling with the impact of the Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade and how it is affecting many of our staff members – what should our message to our staff be; do we need to change any of our abortion-related benefits; should we now include abortion-travel benefits; how do we support our staff member who are struggling with this decision; how do we navigate discussions in the workplace?
We’d like to invite you all to this open discussion regarding this critical topic.
