Title: Project Manager; Grade K-22 Position: Full-Time, with benefits; FLSA exempt position Compensation: $72,754 - $90,215 dependent on qualifications The Town of Needham is seeking a highly qualified and experienced construction manager to fill the position of Project Manager. The essential functions or duties listed are intended as illustrations of various types of work that is performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related on a logical assignment to the position. The position functions as a part of the overall municipal team to ensure effective and efficient municipal operations. Under the direction of the Director of Design and Construction assists in coordinating a comprehensive program of design and construction of municipal buildings in cooperation with user agencies and the Department of Public Facilities, Operations Division, as well as periodic reporting to the Permanent Public Building Committee which oversees municipal projects. Duties require intensive knowledge of current construction and renovation techniques, construction contracts and contract administration, project management, budgeting, and scheduling. Basic word processing and spreadsheet capabilities are required. Duties require a minimum of five (5) years of responsible and relevant professional experience in building design and construction, construction/project management, or a related field. Professional registration as an Architect or Engineer in Massachusetts preferred. CSI certification or a Construction Supervisors License (CSL) registration will be considered for meeting this requirement. A valid motor vehicle license is required for this position.
